Getting there, slow but surely
So why the move you ask? For awhile now I have wanted a new name for my blog. Although I am a firm believer that it is the little details in life that make it what it is, hence the old blog name “Life is in the Details”. I’m a girl born and raised in the country and I love my country roots. I am a bit old fashioned and my dream is to someday own a big ole farmhouse. So this is how the new name came to be. This is where I am today.

Anyway, yesterday was a perfect day for spending in the house and working on the computer, it was such a gloomy, dreary day here after having such a beautiful Monday. Our temps on Monday got up to 80+ but yesterday our high was in the 50’s, with the rain stopping in the afternoon and skies became clear but the winds were high. Our forecast for the next week or so is about the same alot of rain and cooler (cold) temps. I am so ready for warmer weather and sunny days.
Oh and the flowers, oh the flowers. Seeing all the pretty colors scattered one the ground.

New look and a giveaway!
Hi ya’ll! Happy Tuesday to you! It is a beautiful morning here in Maryland. It is a little after 9:00 AM and the temps are a nice 70 or so. When I woke this morning the temps were in the 60’s. Woo Hoo.
Let me first say to those that mentioned the house in the header of my blog…NO that is not my home. I wish it were, but alas it isn’t. I love big ole farmhouses, I have all my life, so when I saw this one, it was everything and more of what I dreamed of. Love the big porch with the screen door. Mmmmmmm, someday maybe!
I wish I had something really clever to write about today, but I don’t. Still working on the things for the house. We are having new carpet installed in the basement, it was suppose to be on Thursday this week, but the carpet layers showed up today and of course we weren’t ready, so now they will have to do it next Tuesday. Kinda bummed about it, but it is okay I guess, really. In the big scheme of things it is only a few more days.
I didn’t get as much done yesterday that I wanted to in
the house, so going to work on some things today…..but before I do…..wanted to tell you about a giveaway I saw at “And baby makes Five” How cute are these little bowl fillers. A Colleen is giving them away. So run right over and get your name in the pot. :) I think they are simply adorable.
As you all can see, I have been up to changing things around again in here. I think I like this better than the blue I had here yesterday. What do you think? It most likely will stay this way for awhile. Instead of changing things up on here, I really would love to be doing some redecorating in my house. I miss not being able to move things around. I am sure if and when I finally get to move it will be like Christmas for me, playing with all my goodies again.
Well my son just called and he is on his way over, so guess I should scoot, so I can spend some time with him, and then I MUST get some work done in this house.
Have a very blessed day, I know I will! B

Blogger Vs. Wordpress?
(posted this at my new blog “Country Elegance”)
Stop by and check out the new blog….www.cindybazzy.wordpress.com
trying to decide if I am going to like this new blog or not! Blogger vs. Wordpress? That is the dilemma I am finding myself in today. There are things I like about both, as well as some things I don’t like. I have wanted to do a wordpress blog for a while now, but I really hated to go through the whole webhosting ordeal again unless I knew it was something that I was going to like. So I decided to try the free version at Wordpress.com (they have limited themes to choose from). It has the same functionality as downloading wp and hosting it , however on wordpress.com they don’t support java script, so therefore, I had to lose most of my buttons and followers widget. Not happy about that. :( Plus I am still tweaking the layout. For the most part this layout gives me everything that I want, but I am not there quite yet.
Have any of you ever made the switch from blogger to wp? If so, what are your thoughts?
Guess I should get back at it….as you can see, I still have lots to do? Let me know what you think…. I would really appreciate your honest opinion.
Hugs and Blessings,
Cindy

Different Directions
Hi all!
Testing out the new template. Still have some tweaking to do,
but I think I like this a bit better. What do you think? You will find that I have rearranged things a bit, so take a look around. Still have more to add, but not alot. As mentioned before, I was wanting to take this blog in a different direction but I wanted/needed to incorporate my “Life in the Details” and “Home Simple Home” blog together. It has gotten so hard for me to post to one blog much less two…but I still want to be able to write and share my home projects and other home related things, as well as those spiritual and Christian inspiration.
So if you were a follower at “Home Simple Home” I hope you will add yourself to my list of friends in the sidebar.
I’ve spent to much time on this chore today so I am going to post this, and hope to get back to you all in the AM. Not to mention I have some blog reading to do.
Hugs,

My day has been busy
and I am just now getting a chance to get to my blog today. As
you can see, one thing I did today was updated my theme. I have been wanting to do this for awhile now. But while I was in the mist of updating all my files, I decided to do this now, and get it done. Now I just need to do a couple of the others. One thing that I really had wanted to do today was start with updates on my Christmas site, but didn’t get around to it. Maybe tomorrow. Although I have a feeling I will have some errands to run because we are having family in town this weekend. I might just make a another list to work on next week and work on it then. And take tomorrow to get everything ready for guest. This has been one computer packed week for me. And quite frankly I am getting tired of it. :)
My day started out with me pick
ing up the house and putting things away. I also needed to change the sheets on the bed and wash them. So the bed still awaits me upstairs to be put back together. (want to get hubby to help me flip the mattress). After starting the laundry, I got some dusting done, and actually brought out a few more fall decorations. Took down some of the halloween goodies. Once the housework was behind me I started working on the files on the computers. I am almost finished with all the transferring. WooHoo!!
Tomorrow I have a few things to do to
get ready for the kids arrival.. The only thing that I really have to do in the house is clean their bathroom. I also need to run out and get some groceries, and possibly get some baking done.
So as you can see I have alot going on, but will try to get back tomorrow. So what do you think about the new look….What do you think it needs?
Gotta scoot, it is 9:30 PM and I need to find something to eat, plus going to watch the San Antonio Spurs with the hubby.
Hope you had a blessed night.
Hugs,
Cindy

Some of what I did this weekend.
Thought I would take a little time to tell you that I had very productive weekend, and now it is back to work for another week. I am so grateful for list, or I would never seem to make it. I did get about half of my chores done this weekend that I had on my list. We ( I should say Michael) got the bedroom painted and the ceiling fan hung. All the while I worked on more decorating,I did finally find one of the boxes that was missing. I know there is at least one more, but it isn't a big deal. Mainly the pumpkins which I use to sit around or put on my front porch display. So when I run across them I will finish up.
I also gave the kitchen a good clean last night. Michael in all his sweetness made enchilda's for dinner. Can you say yummy? and leftovers? Anyway, I digress, but after all his hard work in the kitchen I decided to do the clean up. I wiped down all the countertops, unloaded and reloaded the dishwasher, cleaned out the fridge and did a wipe down, I also put some homemade vegtable soup I made (earlier in the week) in the freezer to have again at a later date, swept and mop the kitchen and family room floor. So felt like alot was accomplished in the kitchen.
Spent some time working on my holiday and prayer journals this weekend too. Needed to do some update. This is the third or fourth year that I have used the HOLIDAY GRAND PLAN and Christmas Countdown so needed to do some updating in those journals. This year I signed up for another little helper. Cara is hosting Holiday Countdown at The Household Helper. Hey with my schedule and anything that can keep me on task I need. Check it out.
Most of you would die if you knew that I have 429 subscriptions (as of this morning) in my google reader. I have them broke down into certain categories. It keeps me from missing out on anything new that is posted by some great bloggers. The ideas, tips, creativity of some of these women are amazing. I also have several blog helps in my reader, and I am loving it. Only problem is, it makes me want to change and update and move things around. But over the next little bit I want to share some of these wonderful finds with you.
Should close for now, will be back soon.
Hugs!

Frazzeled!

Everyone, I am frazzeled, hence the name of this post. I spent all day yesterday working on this new look, with the help of a wonderful friend Pam. Believe me, I wouldn't be this far if it wasn't for her. She was my second set of eyes as well as tutor. As you can see I still have a small problem with the comment area of the post, but will work with that in time. Just bare with me. I still have all my links to add back in, but that will come with time. I hated that I lost all of my widgets that I had before, but that can be done relatively easy.
Since today is a holiday I am off work, but will have a full work week this week. Not sure what I will get done today...I do know that I have some paperwork to do for my employer today so will try to get that completed soon, so I am free the rest of the day. Who knows, Michael and I may decide to get out for a bit today. The temps are cold. It's about 7 degrees outside this morning. They are calling for snow tomorrow, really hoping that we don't get it. It was suppose to snow here on Saturday night, but didn't get it. Woo Hoo.
Just wanted to post a little note. May be back later to do a update....but I must get a few things done today...and this can be very addicting, so I must decipline myself.
Do you like this new look? I've always loved this set from Deb at PollyAnna Graphics. Here link is at the bottom of right hand column.
Feel free to leave me a little note to let me know you were here. So I can stop by and visit with you.

UPDATE: 2:48 pm - Well as you can see, I have made all kinds of additions, since I completed the new look. The young lady to my left is me. Believe me, seems like I haven't done much else. But I think I will grab something to eat and then spend some time with my family. Take the rest of the day to relax and get ready for another work week. This has been a nice break from work, but it doesn't last forever. Oh yeah, forgot to mention....Tori had her cheer competition this past weekend and they won first place. I will see if I can find some pictures and post a few for you. They did awesome. Now we have to get ready to go to regionals. Woo Hoo! Don't sound like a proud mom do I?
May get by tonight or tomorrow for visits, hope all are doing great!
