Daydreaming about Laundry rooms

Here I am again daydreaming….yep…. seems lately I have been doing a lot of that (you got to be kiddin me, laundry rooms)….thinking about our next home.  For me on of the things that make “moving” easier, is the thought that I get to decorate another home.  Ooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhh la la.  I love that part.

While combing the internet I ran across a few rooms I have put in my “save Laundry Room folder”.  Do you do that to?  I have to, or else I will forget all about it when the times comes to start my planning.  Sometimes I will pull something from one picture and then another to come up with my own style, but I do need the inspiration.

For large families with lots of laundry, consider doubling up with two stackable units that save time and space. An oversize table makes a pleasant spot for folding laundry, ironing, sewing, or even working on crafts.

Not ready to invest time and money in a major renovation? Try this simple fix that has big impact: Place a vintage table between the washer and dryer for additional storage.

Dollhouse-Laundry-Storage

Put things that you love but no longer use, such as this doll house, to playful yet practical use. Anchored to the wall with decorative brackets, it becomes the highlight in an otherwise understated room. Each room of the doll house makes an easy-to-access cubby for laundry supplies.

Upper cabinets hold detergent and supplies. On the bottom, bifold doors access the machines. Molding between the units and on the bottom of the cabinet is separate and can be easily removed in case the machines need repair.

So now, which was your favorite and why?  If you have any tips or hints why these wouldn’t work let me know.  Because we all know when something looks good, it might not be practical or will work for us.

Need to scoot, I hear my washer washing, and the dryer drying….and it’s time for the beeper to go off.

1 Corinthians 15:55-57““Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?” The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.”

Cindy, My hubby just created a laundry room in my basement. I'm not done making it pretty yet. I liked the first one and the one with the table for storage. Great ideas!

I like them all, too hard to pick just one! Any idea when you'll be in a house again?

Those are gorgeous! I love the one with the red M. I really want to transform my laundry room. It needs serious help! Thanks for the inspiration.

I want to make my laundry room something other than the blah zone that it is. I just keep putting it on the back burner.

In looks, my favorite one of these is that darling one in the utility closet. I would want a bigger one if I had my *druthers* though.

Hi there!
Nice blog you have :) I think I found your site via the Simple Pleasures community, I was blog-hopping...

I enjoy doing this too, looking at and saving pictures for ideas. I love decorating and it's definitely a highlight when changing house!

I look forward to seeing photos of your projects in the new house.

Happy Easter!
