Sharing my spring blooms

with all.  If you have been out in blogland then you know everyone is showing off all their spring blooms, although I don’t have many I do have several things growing in my yard.

My Zinna’s are starting to poke through the dirt

and so are my cucumbers and squash.

I usually don’t have any luck growing things this way, but decided to give it a try again this year.

Will start in the front yard, here you can see the front flowerbed.  Michael just got all the black mulch in this past weekend.

Here you can see the vibrant color of my front azalea bush underneath the windows.

My white azalea bush is just started to poke out blooms.

My pretty dogwood tree, I need to get a better picture of the actual blooms, it is in the corner of the flowerbed.

My phlox, love them.  They are the prettiest shade of lavender.

Right now this is all that I have back there, the oregano is just starting, but I still need to get my basil, cilantro, sage, mint, etc.

My Shasta Daisies are just started to come up.

My wheelbarrow full of petunias and border plants. They haven’t really started blooming to much but this gives you the idea.

One of my lilac bushes, I have three.  Love the way these smell when I open my door.

Here you can see my hosta’s are really taking off.  This is flower bed is around my brick patio, with my herb garden sitting directly on the other side.

20100419_102

My blackeyed Susan’s still have a way to go. This is just one bunch that we have but I probably have 8 or 10 bunches in the yard.

20100419_89

Well this gave you a taste of what is blooming in my yard.  My wildflower garden just got planted(it’s in that little fenced area beyond the tree next to my potting shed) hoping for a full array of color when they come in.  Plus I don’t have my herb garden completely done yet, but when I do, I will try to remember to snag some photos for you. Once the Blackeyed Susan’s and Daisy’s are up it will be really colorful back there.

'For behold, the winter is past,
The rain is over and gone.
'The flowers have already appeared in the land;
The time has arrived for pruning the vines,
And the voice of the turtledove has been heard in our land.
'The fig tree has ripened its figs,
And the vines in blossom have given forth their fragrance.
Arise, my darling, my beautiful one,
And come along!' "
Song 2:11-13

Bloom where your planted

Happy Tuesday Cindy;

This is one of nicest entries I've visited today. Your garden is absolutely beautiful! It makes me yearn to have a garden of my own but alas, living in an appartment complex I have no "bit of dirt" to plant anything. Thank you for sharing such lovely photos. Have a blessed day my friend. Hugs

Your yard looks gorgeous Cindy. I'm not sure what zinnas are, do you mean zinnias? is it a flower? I hope you get your veg to grow, things are taking shape in our back yard and I am trying to post weekly to my garden blog so I can see the progress. Hope you're having a lovely Tuesday.
hugs
