Imagine my surprise
When I opened up my Windows Live Writer this morning since my update. WOW, does things look
different here. This might take me a little bit to get use to it. Do you use Window’s Live Writer for your blog post? I do and have for several years now and I absolutely love it. It is the one tool I can’t stand to be without when creating blog post.
Windows Live Writer makes it easy to tell your stories like a professional blogger. You can create beautiful blog posts including photos, videos, and formatting, and see what it will look like online before you publish to your blog. Writer works with most major blogging services, including WordPress, Blogger, LiveJournal, TypePad, and many more, so you can compose your blog post while offline, and then publish directly to your blog in minutes.
If you think you would like to try it, you can download it by clicking here. If you do try it, let me know your thoughts on it.
It’s already Wednesday and this week is flying by. Today I am staying home and trying to catch up on some “house duties”. I have really been bad the last couple of days and it’s time to get back on my schedule. Yesterday I took the day and met up with a friend that I haven’t seen for at least 15 years.
We met years ago when I was living in Germany. We had sons about the same age and they played ball together. This was her first time overseas and it was a joy showing her the ropes so to speak. Our families became good friends, and spent many hours together.
She and I shared the love of God and enjoyed bible study together and numerous church functions. Yesterday, while sharing lunch we picked up right where we left off. After many changes in our lives over the years, our friendship still remains and is real.
I really need to start my day, I hope you will stop by tomorrow as I will be sharing my “Simple Pleasures and Thankful Thursday” post.
Romans 3:23-24“for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.”

You have asked
how I did certain things on my blog. Believe me, if it wasn’t for some wonderful tutorials out there in blog land I would have never done any of them. But these ladies have some exceptional and easy tutorials for anyone to do. (Will be adding some more) So I have created a link in my navigation bar of a list of some of the goodies I used. I hope you find them as helpful as I did.
One other thing I use in creating my blog is Window Live Writer. LOVE IT!!
Here is a brief description of it
Windows Live Writer is a desktop application that makes it easier to compose compelling blog posts using Windows Live Spaces or your current blog service. It includes a WSYIWYG blog editor as well as tools for publishing photos, maps. An included SDK allows developers to extend the capabilities of Writer to publish additional content types. Windows Live Writer is a great client for Windows Live Spaces but also works with other weblogs including Blogger, LiveJournal, TypePad, or WordPress.
You can get it here. Well worth the download especially if you have more than one blog you try to post too. I have several and I find this the best way to keep everything together.
I also love fonts and all the little doodles like these. If you do to, then you have to jump over there and download them. They are all FREE! B
Hope you find some useful tips here.

One More Day
It’s already the middle of the week.
Can you believe that this week is half over? I’m moving right along on organizing and updated my blogs. Since getting my new laptop I hadn’t taken the time to update all the software that I normally use, so I have been doing that. What a job. I also have been rearranging and updating content. I hope that by the end of the week I will be done with this. This is a huge job, especially when you have several blogs to work on. I really want to get
my Christmas site updated, and thinking now I just might. I can see the light at the end of this tunnel. Thank Goodness for Lifetime Movie Network. I have been watching alot of movies while working on this project. My goal is to finish all this computer work by the end of this week.
We found out that my husband’s son and daughter-in-law will be here this weekend. They are arriving on Friday and will be here until Monday. It will be nice to see them again. With all his children living so far away, we enjoy every opportunity to visit with them.
Well since I have been spending all week working on my computer, I decided I wanted to share with you today a way to organize your browsers and favorites. I bookmarked this awhile ago and would like to credit where I found it, but for the life of me I can’t find it.
How to organize your browser bookmarks and favorites
How many bookmarks and favorites are on your computer? I have more than 1,000 in Firefox and Del.icio.us, and even though they're neatly organized in folders and tagged, I can't remember what I liked about most of them.
How many bookmarks is too many? Are all those sites still live? Are you really ever going back there?
Happily, there's lots of free software for PC and Mac that will help you organize your bookmarks.
For the PC
• Bookmark Buddy
This bookmark manager offers four different ways to retrieve bookmarks, site login management, privacy functions and bookmark checking.
• AM-Deadlink works with Firefox and Internet Explorer.
For the Mac
• WebNote Happy does web site tagging and annotating for Mac OS X that helps you organize, bookmark, and make notes about the web pages that matter to you.
• Bookdog lets you Click 'Analyze' to find duplicates and then fix them.
Ok…guess I should get started on my day. Hope you have a blessed Wednesday!

Bits and Pieces
Happy Tuesday. Just popping on to say hi and let you all know that I am still alive. I haven't been feeling great. Not sick, just extremely tired and sluggish. Not sure what the culprit is, but I really need to get over it.
Tonight I played hooky from a meeting just to stay home and play on the computer. I had some things that I needed to get done before they got away from me. So that was accomplished.
I am glad that tomorrow is Wednesday, the half point of the week. At this point, I plan to run some errands after work tomorrow (must do's) and also see if I can set up a final fitting for my dress on Thursday before it goes to be pressed.
Our passports came in on Monday...the application was only gone for a week. I can't believe it. I was so glad that they got here as fast as they did, because Michael and I dawdled applying for them. Now we should be able to get to Cancun. :)
Today I made a few minor changes and added a few things to my blog. It was in much need of some fixes. Hopefully I got that done. I also made a post at my homemaking site. Check it out here if you have time. I also added a new section in the right hand column Blog Land. There are some neat little places to visit for some cool things for your blog as well as some useful sites to help with tips and tricks and tutorials.
Well I need to get myself ready to go to bed...so I will bid you a goodnight and hope you have a wonderful Wednesday.
Hugs!

Updated Template

I also have been spending time this morning updating my HMB. What a chore that was, but I feel much better having it done. I worked on my prayer journal section. And removed my grocery/menu/recipe sections because I have added them into my recipe binder. Which I have also been working on this morning. This is huge undertaking because I have collected recipes and cookbooks for 20+ years. So it isn't anywhere near finished. My main goal was to get the prayer journal ready to go.I'm hoping that this week I can implete some of things that I had hope to start the first of the year but seems like I couldn't get it all together. My brain has been racing with tons of projects that I needed/wanted to do to make my life run smoother. My goal is this will become a lifestyle that I can keep up with regardless of it I am working full-time or staying back at home. I love
being at home and making my home a place that the family wants to be. Love going the extra mile for them. And seems like for the last several years, I play catch up. I think Michael is on board with all the changes so that helps.
